Tsì-Uí İk received the B.S. degree in mathematics and the M.S. degree in computer science and information engineering from the National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan, in 1991 and 1993, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in computer science from the Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago, IL, USA, in 2005.
Dr. Tsì-Uí İk is currently a full professor of computer science at the National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University. He had been a senior research fellow in the Department of Computer Science, City University of Hong Kong. His research focuses on wireless ad hoc and sensor networks, vehicular ad hoc networks, intelligent transportation systems, and network coding.
Dr. İk was bestowed the Outstanding Young Engineer Award by the Chinese Institute of Engineers in 2009. He received the Young Scholar Best Paper Award from IEEE IT/COMSOC Taipei/Tainan Chapter in 2010. From 2018 to 2022, he was awarded a research grant under the Precision Sports Science Program by the Ministry of Science and Technology, Taiwan, focusing on the collection and analysis of tactical and technical data in badminton. In 2020, he was honored with the Grade A Sports Science Research and Development Award by Taiwan’s Sports Administration, Ministry of Education, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to sports science. He received the prestigious Future Tech Award in 2020, 2021, and 2023 from National Science and Technology Council, Taiwan, recognizing his continued contributions to technological innovation.
